About the Designer

La Réunion was founded by Nigerian-American Sarah Nsikak, who creates exquisite, emotional hand-quilted clothing made entirely from recycled materials. With a desire to offset the exorbitant waste generated by the fashion industry, Nsikak uses reclaimed textiles to craft one-of-a-kind pieces. Named after the island off the coast of Madagascar, La Réunion is inspired in part by the vibrant stories of African culture, post-colonial countries - and an invitation to return to one's self.
