Max Bill Automatic Watch with Date
This watch is available for special order. Please call or e-mail us to inquire.
The time of day and date and not a micron of superfluous design. This is the same elemental design first launched in 1961 from Junghans under the helm of Bauhaus alum Max Bill. Featuring trademark typography and ever-mimicked perfect proportions, this update further cleans a dark-as-night black face by removing any hour numerals. While this dark and handsome piece makes an excellent evening watch, the simplicity of a Max Bill watch always works as well with a t-shirt as a suit.
Max Bill was one of the most unusual artists of our time. Acknowledged as a universal genius, he worked as an architect, painter, sculptor and product designer and has left behind an extensive portfolio of creations. This includes one of the most fascinating watch series ever designed – the clocks and wristwatches he created for Junghans – and which remain practically unchanged today.
