An elegant bud vase for bedside or tabletop. Each vase is one-of-a-kind, made with locally foraged clay from the Sierra foothills. The glaze utilizes various rocks, clay, and wood ash to create a variable surface ranging from white to green/grey/blue, and from shiny to stone-like matte. They are made entirely by hand on a potters wheel, so variations in shape and surface will occur (see photos).

Berkeley-based Matt Fishman draws from his background as a chef to influence his functional yet distinctive ceramics. His one-of-a-kind pieces focus on local sourcing and fine craftsmanship, often using foraged clays and wild minerals found in the landscapes of Northern California.
