Amber Teutonic Eau de Parfum
Mahler’s hut, perched high above the valley of Alpine fir, horn echoes in the primeval forest. A Nibelungian hoard of precious emerald ambers.
Entering the forest is an unknown – it parallels the inward search of the mystic. Austrian Jewish composer Gustav Mahler, whose music transitioned classical music from ornate romance to modernism, explored many personal connections to Teutonic Mythology and the natural world. He composed epic symphonies and song cycles in huts high in the Alps in summertime, channeling Chinese poetry, folktales, and German Romantic writers into deeply autobiographical music that has become universal in the classical repertoire.
